Ever wondered what it’s like to pitch your product to a room full of potential buyers who are secretly sizing you up, all while trying not to trip over your words—or your own feet? Well, wonder no more! I recently got to experience this thrilling (and slightly nerve-wracking) adventure at the Channel Program’s Battle Royale, a three-day event packed with pitches, innovation, and a healthy dose of competitive spirit.
Imagine a reality show where tech entrepreneurs face off, minus the dramatic music and backstabbing alliances (well, as far as I know). The Channel Program’s Battle Royale is the ultimate mashup of Channel Pitch and ConnectWise’s PitchIT. Over three days, several emerging vendors—myself included—took the stage to present our offerings to a mysterious audience of future anonymous buyers. Think of them like masked superheroes of the MSP world: MSPs (Managed Service Providers), ISPs (Internet Service Providers), and MSSPs (Managed Security Service Providers). But instead of capes, they wear the latest in cybersecurity and network management.
I was up second in the line-up, which meant I was the one to set the tone right after the first brave soul. No pressure, right? My mission was clear: to make Rocketship—our groundbreaking software for modernizing the ticket lifecycle in Autotask—the star of the show.
Rocketship isn’t just any tool; it’s a focused solution to drive SLA compliance and increase helpdesk profitability, combining intelligent assignment, optimized scheduling, on-demand escalations, and SLA-driven work queuing. Basically, it’s everything an MSP needs to keep things running smoother than a freshly oiled server rack.
Why should you watch my pitch? For one, you’ll see me in action, passionately (but not too passionately, I promise) explaining how Rocketship can save the day for MSPs everywhere. I dive into our SmartDispatch and SmartWorkQ modules, which are like having a superhero duo on your team, ready to tackle any ticket trouble that comes your way. If you’re an MSP owner, a Service Manager, or just someone who enjoys watching people talk tech, you’re in for a treat!
Beyond watching me (though I assure you, my pitch alone is worth the watch), this event showcases a smorgasbord of innovation within the MSP space. You’ll see several vendors, each with a unique solution that could very well become the next big thing. It’s like a tech buffet, and you’re invited to sample the best dishes. Every vendor brought their A-game, and trust me, you don’t want to miss this tech-tasting experience.
