Accessing Reports in Autotask PSA

You can access reports in Autotask PSA database in a number of different ways. These reports allow a user to acquire useful information and gain valuable business insights.

It is recommended to explore the available Autotask reporting options in the following order:

Dashboards

Dashboards are easy to read and provide charts, tables, and gauges for users to drill into and export a detailed report. They offer the following advantages:

  • Dashboard tabs and widgets are entirely customizable
  • Dashboard widgets are constantly refreshed and the information displayed is always current
  • There is nothing to run or save – they are always available on the user’s dashboard
  • Users can only see information they have access to based on their security level

Pre-built reports

Autotask PSA contains a large number of pre-built reports. Standard Reports are pre-built reports defined by set criteria to filter by. Some reports provide options to change the report by selecting which columns appear in the output. Others, known as System Reports, are built by Autotask and they can be copied and edited, or run as-is.

LiveReports

If neither dashboards nor pre-built reports entirely meet your reporting needs, users who have experience with reporting tools can create reports with LiveReports Designer. LiveReports Designer is a powerful but easy-to-use custom reporting engine that allows users to copy and edit pre-built reports to create their own.
